In our little corner of the Ainslie Shops, we have four different venues. Each venue has their own unique menu and offering.
Downstairs, you’ll find Edgars Pub, and Mama Dough Pizza.
Upstairs, you’ll find The Inn, and Wakefield’s Bar.
Each venue is located on the corner of Ainslie shops, just next door to each other.

Venues
Edgars Pub

Edgars Pub is the cornerstone eatery of Ainslie Shops. Being open since 2001, it is many Ainslie local’s go to spot for live sports, coffee, meetings, birthdays, and everything inbetween.
Open for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Downstairs, on the corner. On the opposite end of the shops to IGA.

Breakfast is served from 7am - 11am on weekdays, and 7am-11:30am on weekends.
The main menu is served from 11:30am on weekdays, and 12pm on weekends. This menu runs all the way through from lunch to dinner.
Mama Dough Pizza is available for Dine-In here, from 12-9pm.
The kitchen closes at 9pm.
Filled with pub classics, and a few fun twists. This is the place to go if you’re just craving a schnitzel and a pint!

The Inn - Restaurant

The Inn is our neighbourhood restaurant.
Not fine dining, not pub service, just an honest, elevated, local restaurant that settles in the middle.
We focus on delivering value driven, high-quality food & drink, through considerate and approachable service. This is our table service restaurant, a step above pub service.

Just upstairs from Edgars Pub, and to the left.
Immediately up the stairs is a host stand, our friendly staff will be more than happy to direct you.

Simple food, elevated with high quality ingredients, exciting and deliberate twists. Modern Australian cuisine. The menu is regularly changing, it is always best to check out the menu on our page.
All cooked on Canberra’s only Asado grill.

Wakefields Bar

Wakefields is a relaxed bar, serving pizza, pasta and small plates with Italian influence. With a disco ball always lit and beautifully eclectic decor, this space doubles as our main private function room.

Just upstairs from Edgars Pub, and through the doors to the right (pictured above).
There is a host stand right as you get up the stairs, our staff will happy guide you!

Mama Dough Pizza is our takeaway pizza shop.

Book yourself a table either at Edgars Pub, or Wakefields Bar Upstairs.
Edgars Pub & Cafe serves Mama's pizza from 12:00 - 9:00, all week long.
Wakefields Bar serves Mama's pizza from 5:00-9:00, Tuesday - Saturday.

Yes, kids are welcome throughout Edgar’s Inn. The Pub is the most common family-friendly space, but each venue is more than happy to accommodate families in it’s own way.

The Pub is fully accessible.
Unfortunately, our upstairs venues currently have limited accessibility. Please contact us ahead of time so we can accommodate your visit as best we can.
If you make a booking with accessibility needs, it’s always helpful to give an indication of what accomodations are useful. Low table for wheelchair users, chairs with backs, etc., as much as you are comfortable sharing to help us help you.

Yes, each venue has its own unique drinks menus. There is something for everyone on each.

The Mama Dough Beer Garden sits out the front of our Mama Dough store front, but the full pub & pizza menu are available.

As anywhere, weekdays are normally a bit quieter. However, we always recommend booking in advance, especially for our upstairs venues (The Inn & Wakefield’s Bar).
It helps us out significantly in planning our evening, so that you can get the right table, best service, and best outing possible.
In saying that, if you wander in and we’re booked out at that moment, we’ll always work to find a table for you at one of our other venues. each just a hop, skip & jump away!

If it’s still not making sense, we recommend just coming on in. Check the menus and opening hours, and let us take care of your reservation. We’re always flexible, and happy to host wherever suits you best.
